At Lowery’s Plumbing, we install and replace all types of drain systems across residential and commercial properties. Whether you’re remodeling a bathroom, upgrading your kitchen, or dealing with collapsed pipes under the slab, we know how to get your drain system flowing again with solid, long-lasting solutions.
We work on kitchen drains, bathroom sink drains, shower and tub drains, laundry drains, floor drains, and even exterior yard drains. If water is supposed to move through it, we can replace or install it. For kitchen and bathroom renovations, we often reroute drains to fit new layouts. In homes with older cast iron or corroded PVC, we’ll often recommend full drain replacement to avoid future leaks or blockages.
For exterior drainage, we install French drains to help redirect standing water away from foundations. We also repair or replace storm drains and outdoor floor drains that get clogged or damaged by roots, debris, or heavy rains. Every drain has a job to do, and if it’s failing, we’re ready to get it fixed right the first time.
Some drains can be snaked out and cleared, but others need more than a quick fix. If you’re dealing with frequent backups, foul smells, visible corrosion, or water pooling where it shouldn’t be, it could be a sign the pipe has failed. Gurgling sounds, slow drainage throughout the home, or wet spots around the foundation may also point to a broken or collapsed line.
If we run a camera inspection and see cracks, root intrusion, or severe buildup inside the line, that’s when we start talking about replacement instead of repair. We never push it unless it’s needed, but when a pipe has reached the end of its life, replacing it can save you from ongoing headaches and repair bills.
We select drain pipe material based on the application and the condition of the home. For most residential work, we use schedule 40 PVC for its durability, affordability, and long life. In older homes where cast iron is already in place, we’ll sometimes match the material if required, but we often recommend upgrading to modern piping where possible.
For exterior drainage or French drains, we use perforated pipe wrapped in fabric and gravel to allow proper water flow while preventing clogs from soil or roots. Inside the home, we consider slope, access points, and future maintenance when laying out new drains. Our goal is always to build something that works well, lasts long, and makes sense for your space.
Most drain failures come down to age, corrosion, or poor installation. Cast iron rusts from the inside out. Old PVC can crack under pressure or temperature extremes. Poor slope or bad venting will cause backups and slow flow. Roots are a big problem in Florida too. They’ll seek out small cracks and force their way into the drain, eventually blocking the entire line.
Ground movement or slab shifts can also stress and snap underground pipes. We’ve seen plenty of cases where repeated clogs were actually caused by a belly or sag in the line that should’ve been fixed years earlier. If your drains keep giving you trouble, there’s often a bigger issue that needs real correction.
We don’t just show up with a snake and guess. We use video inspections, honest assessments, and a strong knowledge of local plumbing conditions to figure out what’s going wrong and how to fix it right. Our drain replacements are built to code, done efficiently, and backed by real accountability. We treat your home like it’s ours, and we don’t cut corners.
If you’re tired of living with slow drains, bad smells, or constant clogs, give us a call. Whether it’s a simple drain install or a full pipe replacement, we’ll give you a solution that lasts.
